- God’s promotion is beyond educational qualifications and work experience
- Joseph was promoted from slave to an overseer in Potiphar’s house, to the prime minister of Egypt. There is no doubt it was the Lord who promoted and increased him.
- Joseph’s eyes were not fixed on any of the promotions that he received but on the Lord each step of the way. That made him safe for the next round of promotion and he grew in the good success that the Lord had for him.
- God’s definition of success is different from human’s standard.
- The key of Joseph’s successful was because the Lord was with him. Genesis 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man.”
- Confession : the Lord is with me and I am a successful person.
- Joseph was a slave. According to human standard, a slave is never been associated with the term “success.”
- God’s favor upon Joseph made him prosperous in everything he did.
- God did not avoid Joseph from troubles but God was with him along the way.
- Joseph’s life was full of troubles. It began when his brothers were jealous of him. In this case, probably Joseph did a mistake by boasting his dreams. Jacob loved him more than his siblings added more envy on his brothers’ hearts.
- Probably Joseph questioned God why He allowed so many troubles came to his way. Although God probably did not answer him, but Joseph keep trusting the Lord.
- the fulfillment is nothing to do with his effort
- the vision that God planted probably dead in his own thinking
- joseph can interpret dream after the he victoriously won over potifar’s wife
