- God honors you according to how you honor His Son. Exalt the name of Jesus and you will be exalted. Promote the person of Jesus and you will be promoted. Elevate the work of Jesus and you will be elevated. Preaching that man is righteous by his keeping of the Ten Commandments in reality negates and shows we do not value or have no understanding of what our Lord Jesus’ sacrifice accomplished for us at Calvary.
- The teaching of God’s word can not be evaluated purely by the virtue of sincerity; it needs to be evaluated on the basis of our treatment of the person of Lord Jesus Christ.
- How to test every doctrine, teaching, and scriptural interpretation is by asking how is our Lord Jesus valued in this teaching. Does it make you want to worship, praise, and glorify the Lord Jesus with your life? Does it cause you to be centered on and occupied with yourself and whether you have failed or succeeded?
