How can God allow sinful man to come to Him?
He is a holy God. He has to judge every sin. His Holiness will condemn everyone and no one will be able to come. On the other hand, He is a loving God. God loves sinners but He has to punish sin. If He allows anyone to come to Him with sins, He compromises His holiness.
The answer is the Cross. There justice and peace are reconciled, and mercy and truth met
Only by grace and by the Cross, there is a way to reconcile with God.
At the cross, Jesus cried “It is finished”
Every sin paid in full
Every debt canceled
All divine claim of God is met
God’s law was magnified
The curses were destroyed
Devil has been defeated
God is exalted
The Father is glorified
Sinful men is totally forgiven
John 13:1 Jesus loved us unto the end
Rest be assured, He loves you forever
