Restoration

  1. Restoration in Greek is “Apokatastasis” (Brown – Brigg’s Lexicon) : the restoration not only of the true theocracy but also of that more perfect state of (even physical) things which existed before the fall. Before the fall there was no depression, no divorces, no wars, no strife, no death, no shortage, no diseases.
  2. Exodus 22:1 – “If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and slaughters it or sells it, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.” The truth : restoration happen can not be at the same level, you must be restored better. This is God’s heart, when He restores, is always better in quality and quantity.
  3. Sometimes for us better to buy that repair, but with God, restoration is so much better. The victim became the gainer. Example : Adam and eve were in charge of Garden. In redemption, we are join heir with Christ, running the entire universe. Galaxy and universe is still expanding, because God is preparing it for His children
  4. If you learn to take advantage of God’s law of restoration, you will receive much more than you have lost.
  5. Exodus 22:9 “For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.
  6. “This is mine” if you lost something, come to God and tell God.
  7. Jesus become liable for our sin on the Cross. Jesus took our place of condemnation and gave us the place of favor. Health is mine, prosperity is mine because Jesus paid for it. Illustration : if someone try to take your car under your nose, what do you do? Restoration can not happen if you don’t know that it belongs to you. My people is destroyed because lack of knowledge.
  8. God will restore to you double and greater
  9. Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming [a]locust has eaten,
    The crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. I will restore to you the years eaten by locusts. He will restore the lost things in your life.” It is about wasted days, years. God will restore greater than the years behind you.
  10. Jesus is the stronghold in the days of troubles. I have someone who is stronger than troubles
  11. Zech 9:12 Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. Hope (elpis) : confident expectation of good. I am captive of hope, not depression.
