Spirit-filled Life

  1. Flowers give joy, they just be. We look at them. They don’t have to do anything so we enjoy them. Flowers is example of beautiful things although they are not permanent
  2. God gives us richly all things to enjoy, e.g: senses, taste in your tongues
  3. Hedonistic life is live by senses and desires. You will end up empty because you’ll never created to live by yourselves and to focus my gain,my reward.
  4. We realise the purpose of life that everything revolve around Jesus because all things were made by Him.
  5. Something in body that cause skins to be tied together=laminin – shaped like a cross
  6. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (Mat 16:25). To find high life means we should lose low life, the life that revolve around you : the part you pursue your own self, own pleasure, own need. Church is a place to enjoy high life
  7. Crown of thorn – golden crown. John who was there in all major event of Jesus, was almost dead with the vision of the glorious Jesus touched John with his right hand. The right hand of power – hand that open the red sea, touched the leper, raise peter mother in laws. He used His power on behalf of John He is man and He is God
  8. “the path of the righteous is like the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day” Pro 4:18 — your path is shining brighter
  9. Follow me that You will never lack, I will make you lie down in the midst of plenty. I am still with you, with rod and staff (emblem of shepherd), I will comfort you, I will prepare the table, you will eat in the midst of adversity, this time your cup will run over
  10. Look for Rhema word : word of season. So much in the bible to teach on. Be wise and faithful steward who can give to the household the food in due season. Joy that comes from food in season
  11. A word spoken in due season, how good it is <> as bad as heresy
  12. How a victorious christian look like in this world?
  13. Promotion does not come east west north and south but from God. When man exalt, they can substitute and replace you. When God exalt you, He never substitute you. He will exalt you in due time. Your trials is temporal but victory is lasted. The triumph thing of the wicked is temporal
  14. Walk in Wisdom Eph 5:15-20
    15 See then that you walk [e]circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
    17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of [f]God.
  15. We still observe 10 commandment outwardly – in every civilized nations but the truth is laws can not change heart
  16. Redeem the time – means buy and snatch, to buy back. Time = kairos – means fortunate time, opportunity, favorable/good moments
  17. Both OT and NT mentions about good days and evil day! evil day – days when things do not happen as you wish – single, good days – plural
  18. This earth is fallen – you will face adversities and trials. People are driven by goals, deadlines
  19. The world is getting more and more stressful place. The Church : oasis of love. Come and replenish youself at the feet of Jesus
  20. Psalm 90:9-10 – majority of people, facts in the world : people live 70-80 years even though good medical is provided. The verse is sandwiched by wrath and anger
  21. Psalm 91:16 – with long life I will satisfy you. Satisfy = safer. Psalm 103:5 – satisfy – safer. Gen 25:8 – satisfied with life, days. Not die because old age but full of days and years, a long and satisfying life. Isaac lived 180 years. Gen 35:29 – full of days – safer, over satisfied
  22. There is force in this world to stay “natural”. Devil is supernatural wants us to be confined to natural sustenance.
  23. 1 Chro 29:28 and Job 42:17 mentioned about full days
  24. Psalm 90, wrote by Moses , under the laws, under judgement. Psalm 91, wrote by David. Psalm 90:12, dont think you will live forever in this world, but number of our days so you becomes wise.
  25. Walk with wisdom, as thy days so shall they strength be, keep on walking in the Spirit, walk on to the rain.
  26. Number your days! kids grow up very fast, Jacob serve 7 years but feel like days because of his love for rachel.
  27. Make use of your time, make your time become kairos moment, fortune, good, opportunity moment
  28. God can make days longer or shorter, satisfied with days. Long-life but miserable life is not God’s will
  29. Eph 5:15. There are general wills of God, but specific will for yourself is different to others: what is school, area of vocation, calling. Hard way : fasting, pray. Easy way : eph 5:18-20 – be filled with the Spirit – giving thanks, rejoicing / merry heart, wisdom, praise, singing and making melody to the Lord ARE LINKED TOGETHER!!!
  30. Buy back the Kairos moment! by being filled with the Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit is the key that you just know the will of the Lord when the time comes!!!
  31. WORLD WAY drink away your worries – get drunk with wine. Drink wine = he does not care about tomorrow, you have fellowship with friends
  32. GODS WAY spiritual wine, being be filled with Spirit (passive), constantly be receiving it. Allow yourself to be continually be filled with the Spirit, the active part is speaking. When you get drunk in Spirit you will be bold – in wonderful way. Not worry anymore and no hang over, does not damage your body
  33. Psalm 90:14 satisfy (safer) yourself in the morning with God’s grace. early = boker = morning, start your day with His hesed
  34. One day in God’s presence is better than thousand days elsewhere that we may rejoice all days
  35. Speaking hymns, psalm … no one listen to you, sing a simple chorus, vital for spirit filled life,the joy of the Lord
  36. Worshipping is oil in your marriage because after that verse, Paul talked about married life
  37. If you are filled with the Spirit, you will know the will of God for your life, and you will become wise (you will buy back all the kairos moments)
  38. Need to have both: wisdom + largeness of heart
  39. Worshipping set you in the right key, you will flow with your family
  40. 2 kings 3:14-16, bring me a musician. When you are filled, the flow is so easy. Judah means praise, let tribe of Judah goes first.
  41. Worship leaders : Ethan =everflowing, heman = faithful, chalcol = to provide, supplied, darda= (pearl of wisdom)
  42. Goshen = drawing near, there I will provide for you (chol)
  43. Draw near to Him by singing, there I will provide. Worship tie up with wisdom. mahol = dance
  44. Isa 60:1-5, prophecy has dual fulfimment : near fulfillment and future fulfillment. Because of the light of you, people will come to you. abundance of sea – people, the wealth of the Gentiles will come to you
  45. Verse 11 therefore your gate shall be opened continually. Verse 18 but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. Have a song in your heart!!
